Choosing The Right CBD Product For Pain Relief

calm recovery logo banner

Choosing the right CBD product is critical for everyone – there are so many products on the market that could be inferior and have little or no beneficial effect in terms of pain relief. So, if you have got to the end of your tether in terms of pain, try Calm Recovery CBD products to help you. All of our products have an effect on pain, but some specific products can be more helpful in terms of a more rapid response.

More and more research is being carried out on a daily basis, but results already show that CBD can help with pain related illnesses such as osteoarthritis, rheumatoid arthritis, back pain, fibromyalgia and almost any kind of pain experienced in the human body, particularly in the muscular skeletal structure. But the most important issue to remember is the quality of the product, its source and its extraction methods. Low grade oils, capsules and any other CBD products simply will not do anything other than create a hole in your bank account and very little pain relief. Calm Recovery offer you the very best quality in CBD coffee and the rest of our range.

It is also important to remember that CBD products are not a cure, they alleviate symptoms to make any pain more bearable. There is no miracle, just simple and effective relief from a daily burden. Quite a lot of the population have suffered a lifetime of pain, preventing them from any normal duties such as work, play, sleep and generally enjoying themselves. Calm Recovery will enable you to achieve fast and effective relief as so many scientific reports and research show.

What we promise at Calm Recovery

You only need to look at our reviews on Trust Pilot to prove that we know exactly what we are doing, and that our CBD products are second to none.

Our guarantees are:

  • Top quality hemp growing standards to ensure safety and best possible health benefits. The source of our hemp is always shown on the Calm recovery website.
  • No exposure to toxins or harmful chemicals. Hemp is one of the plants that can take everything from the soil around it.
  • The best CBD products, as supplied by Calm Recovery, use a ‘pressure method’ for extraction, whereas other companies may use a ‘heat method’ which involves unwelcome chemicals.
  • We supply Broad Spectrum CBD, the best variety on the market and free from THC, the element that can cause ‘a high’ in cannabis. If you decide to purchase oil, the colour should be a deep golden to brown hue. Oils that are pale have probably not undergone a viable extraction method to remove THC.
  • All our CBD products have high bioavailability, ensuring that all nutrients are evenly distributed throughout the body via the bloodstream.
  • Perfect and efficient packaging, ensuring no degradation or exposure to outside elements.
  • Fast despatch so that you receive a top-quality product on time.
pain relief feeling relaxed

Choosing the right product for pain relief

Calm Recovery’s CBD coffee has the fastest action to relieve pain, but all of our other products work, whether Calm Recovery CBD hot chocolate, our CBD tea and even our cookies – it’s just a case of you wanting the speediest way to ease your body from the pain that’s stopping you from living life to the full. Achieving the right dosage for your body is also a key factor in pain relief. The one thing you need to do is monitor after the first few dosages to get the right level for you – we are all different.

Calm Recovery CBD products will act fast – somewhere between 30 minutes and a couple of hours, depending on your physiology. Other Calm Recovery products may take longer, so have a cookie during your waiting time and try to relax!

From a muscular skeletal point of view, once you have joint pain your body will tense up as a natural reaction. You need to ease that tension as part of the process, and our products will start you on the way, quite rapidly, to coping with the problem. If pain stops you from drifting off or waking up halfway through the night, then some of our delicious and comforting CBD Hot Chocolate will make you relax into a blissful sleep.

If your pain is exacerbated during the day, due to physical stress on your joints or muscles, start the day with a CBD Coffee and a drop of CBD syrup. You can top up with our Calm Recovery Coffee throughout the day, but we recommend no more than 6 cups, particularly if you are using other CBD products.

If you are in any doubt about our products, processes or other questions, do contact us at info@calmrecovery.com and our experienced advisors will be happy to answer any queries you may have.

Why Should You Buy CBD Coffee Syrup From Calm Recovery?

cbd coffee syrup

CBD Syrup could easily become the 8th Wonder of the World (without insulting the Pyramids or the Hanging Gardens of Babylon). Calm Recovery’s CBD Coffee Syrup is safe, sweet and super delicious. Another ‘S’ for you – it really helps you sleep, along with the other benefits of our CBD products in the UK.

CBD Syrup has had a huge ascent in the UK over the last couple of years, and continues to rise in popularity. But not all CBD Syrups work the same way, and certainly don’t have the same composition or flavour as our premium product.

Researched and worked on over a period of time, this has guaranteed that our product meets every possible criteria. If you buy CBD syrup from Calm Recovery, you are assured of the best and most satisfying addition for your tastebuds, your body and mind and a bonus of three different flavours!

How does CBD Syrup work?

The answer is, the same as all of our other CBD products, it’s just sweeter (other than our delicious cookies)! Our full spectrum CBD offerings will not fail to please and help in any of your common health problems, such as anxiety, depression, sleeplessness, muscular skeletal pain, inflammation – the list is endless, but we don’t make claims as to its effectiveness in terms of serious illnesses. But the proof of the pudding is in the eating – or the drinking in this case.

Delicious dishes with CBD Syrup

How you take CBD Coffee Syrup is up to you. Some people will simply take a teaspoon a few times a day, and others will put it into drinks, desserts and other dishes when you want that hint of sweetness. You can even make chocolate truffles with it, trust us! What better birthday or Christmas present could there be than a box of coffee/chocolate fondants, lovingly prepared by you. You could also make a delicious sponge cake or muffins to have with your coffee or hot chocolate, or chocolate and coffee mousse for dessert. Get creative!

As our syrup comes in three different flavours – Brown Sugar Cinnamon, Hazelnut and Vanilla, they would all make an amazing box of chocolates or any sweet delight that takes your fancy.

Why choose Calm Recovery CBD Coffee Syrup?

Most people will immediately think that syrup will contain ‘lots of sugar’. Not so, as our syrup is made with Sucralose, a sugar substitute, considered to be one of the safest on the sweetener market. Furthermore, those calorie counting will be pleased to know that our syrup is non-calorific, yet another benefit to your health and wellbeing.

The CBD that we use is water soluble which makes it extremely bioavailable. Bioavailability means that from mouth to intestines and into the circulatory system is fast and efficient, ensuring that the calming effects of the product happens quickly and the results are longer lasting.

Most importantly, our syrup really does taste good, and takes away the guilt of putting two teaspoons of refined sugar in your coffee or other drinks! We have even heard of customers drizzling some over an ice cream, or their morning yoghurt with fruit!

What is the recommended dosage of CBD Syrup?

Everyone’s body reacts differently, so to a certain extent you have to find your own level. It also depends on your symptoms or illnesses, and other factors such as weight and frame. We would recommend that you start with a low dosage and see how you react. You can then increase, or decrease, until you reach a level that you are comfortable with, and that works for you. It’s really no different to taking any medication or supplements, it’s the same principle – let it work for you. We recommend 3-5mg per serving as a starting point.

If you are on any form of medication already, or have a pre-existing condition that your GP is currently treating, there is no reason not to talk to him/her before trying Calm Recovery CBD Syrup. Most doctors are realistic enough to know that research shows that CBD products can work effectively. The average fit and healthy person is normally in the 10-50mg dosage category per day, but do heed our advice on starting slowly and building up to what suits you.

Please also remember that there are no harmful chemicals or synthetic drugs in Calm Recovery CBD products, unlike pharmaceuticals used to treat medical conditions.

Whilst our products are made using high grade CBD, do store in a cool, dark and dry place to prevent any degradation.

White Label CBD Coffee vs. Wholesale CBD Coffee

coffee beans

If you are launching your own coffee brand, you’ll have many decisions to make. Undoubtedly the most important of these is the coffee that you use.

You’ll be faced with two primary choices. You can make use of an established brand, and trade in on success that has already been established. There is a reason that many businesses franchise a coffee chain, such as Starbucks or Costa, in their property. Customers recognise and trust these brands. Along with popular home brands such as Taylors, you’ll have plenty of options when it comes to importing wholesale coffee beans for your brand.

For us, most importantly from your perspective is the ability to forge your own identity by creating a unique White Label coffee brand. There is no shortage of suppliers willing to provide such a service. This means that what you lack in immediate brand awareness can be made up in bespoke branding of your product. There are pros and cons to both approaches, so let’s assess each option in turn.

If you are considering wholesale or white label, don’t forget that we offer a range of products to fit your needs. Calm Recovery supplies the UK with all of the White Label CBD Coffee options that will suit your requirements.

Wholesale CBD Coffee

Everybody has a preferred brand of coffee while shopping in the supermarket, and most of us will gravitate to one high street chain over another while taking a break from shopping. This means that you can cash in on familiarity if you so choose – although, naturally, you risk potentially alienating customers that retain loyalty to a rival!

With a CBD wholesale brand, such as Calm Recovery, you can also set the mind of ethical customers at rest. We feel that we stand apart from other brands, and with the ability to allow you to put your own stamp on our finest coffee. Established brands have established their eco-friendly credentials, and your customers will be assured that your coffee is organic and fair trade. This could be the difference between attracting business and not in the early days. Customers with strong views, allergies or other dietary requirements may prefer to take a, “better the devil you know” approach.

Calm Recovery’s CBD Wholesale service can be very cost-effective in the short-term. With most wholesalers, you’ll need to order in huge bulk, and you’ll be supplied for quite some time with no further work required. But when you are just starting out, you may not have the budget or resources available to cater for this. We have a very low minimum order quantity, meaning your CBD coffee business can be up and running with little risk.

coffee shop

White Label Coffee

‘White Label’ is a term that originated within the music industry. It was used to describe records that were not available on general sale, used exclusively by DJs. The name came from the generic, blank label that adorned the vinyl. Don’t mistake white labelling for private labelling – they are different business practices.

The food industry has now embraced the concept of white label packaging. In essence, you will be creating your own brand. You’ll still be importing your coffee beans from an established wholesaler. You will not be able to amend the ingredients of the beans, or request changes to the production process. You can, however, market the coffee as your own invention. Nobody will ever know the source of your supply, but when you make your first order, you will know by quality and taste that Calm Recovery offer the best CBD White Label UK choices – you only need to try us.

White label products can be an indispensable marketing tool. Given time, you could build a following to rival the aforementioned high street chains. Once you establish a loyal audience, your coffee can become a by-word for quality and taste. Naturally, though, there will be costs involved at the beginning of your journey.

You will need to invest in experienced graphic designers and marketers to create and promote your packaging. You may also find that it takes a while to gain the following that you crave. We live in a fast-paced world and many people crave convenience. Taking a chance on a new brand can be seen as a risk. If you can convince people to give your coffee a try, however, the rewards can be substantial.

So, which is Best?

Honestly, there is no hard and fast rule as to which approach is best. Every business has different needs, so you will need to make a judgment call based on your own circumstances.

If you are keen to build a loyal customer base and have limited experience, it may be best to begin with a wholesale brand. There is nothing to say that this needs to be a permanent approach, though. As you gain experience and expertise, a bespoke white label brand becomes increasingly appealing.

Of course, by teaming up with Calm Recovery you can enjoy the best of both worlds. Part of our offering is wholesale coffee beans, and we have spent years fine-tuning the taste of our produce to achieve perfection. Should you choose us as your supplier, you’ll have the choice of a range of flavours. It’s up to you if you’d like to infuse your coffee with CBD oil. We think it’s a great move, but we’re probably biased.

Calm Recovery can also help your white label products if that’s a choice you make, though. Our talented and dedicated in-house designer will always be happy to help in any way. Working together, we can grow your business and help you achieve everything that you’re capable of, whether you choose white label or wholesale coffee based products in the UK.

If you’d like to know anything more about Calm Recovery’s CBD Wholesale, or our CBD White Label UK and what we offer, don’t hesitate to contact us.

How Could CBD Cookies Change My Life?

cbd cookies

At Calm Recovery, we are continually striving to produce the best products for you, that have a multitude of health benefits and taste so good! That’s why we have created our very own CBD Cookies.

There is nothing better than a good cup of CBD coffee – or is there? Cookies and coffee are natural partners, and a cookie can bring a real touch of decadence to a well-earned break in a busy day. With this in mind, we have recently introduced our range of Vegan-Friendly CBD Cookies to satisfy your taste buds and provide you with as many health-giving properties as possible.

Our calming CBD Cookies are both vegan and vegetarian-friendly, so everyone in the family can enjoy this delicious addition to that morning or afternoon break. That’s assuming that you do not want to eat them all yourself!  Alternatively, enjoy them with hot milk or our Vegan Hot Chocolate to relax you and prepare you for a great nights’ sleep. They even go really well with a cup of tea and a touch of our zero-calorie CBD Syrup! There really is nothing that cannot be improved with the addition of a delicious baked treat.

CBD Gummies

There are not that many CBD edibles on the market, and certainly nothing to match ours, so we are told. Some are really not that good for you (CBD gummies spring to mind) and many CBD edibles really do not have the right level of full-spectrum hemp extract, so many people aren’t receiving the full benefits. You can rest assured that our recipes have been tried and tested many times to develop flavour and make this addition to your diet as satisfying, yummy and healthy as possible. The fact that they’ll also take the edge off an increasingly anxious world is an additional benefit.

Buying CBD Cookies from us could not be simpler. They are freshly baked to order, ensuring that both texture and flavour are as on point as possible when you receive them. Coming in handy boxes of 4, 6 or 8, you won’t end up with half-eaten packets that have gone soggy in the cupboard – they are just too good to waste! Try a box of 4 if you are not sure you will like them – but we bet you will!

Our three flavours have been carefully crafted with the finest ingredients and top-quality CBD extract, imparting wonderful flavours to suit any palate. Any good cookie in the world should have elements of crispness and ‘gooiness’ and ours have both of those important qualities. Made from wheat flour, which is heart healthy, protein and magnesium rich, and full of many other vitamins and minerals. It’s hard to believe that something that tastes so appealing can be healthy too, but that’s the dynamic combination that we build our business around.

There are a few cookie flavours on the market, but it’s unusual to find CBD White Chocolate and Raspberry Cookies, although there are some made in both Europe and the USA. But will they be as fresh and delicious as ours? – we think not. If you are a chocolate lover, you can also try our Triple Chocolate CBD Cookies, or for that slightly salty and sweet combination, the Salted Caramel. Every one of these is baked to perfection. Dip or dunk into your CBD Coffee or Hot Chocolate, the choice is yours!

Our CBD Cookies do contain sugar, we can’t deny that. To coin a popular phrase, that’s just the way the cookie crumbles. Rest assured, though; our recipe uses light brown sugar. Light brown sugar is slightly lower in calories than refined white sugar and does contain more minerals. What is also encouraging is the fact that recent dental surveys show that CBD Oil based products can actually be beneficial to teeth and gums as well as post dental pain and inflammation. How many other brands can claim that a cookie a day keeps the dentist away?

Speaking of dentists, some oral healthcare professionals have conducted research into this area. They believe that the calming effect of CBD can ease dental anxiety and contribute to overall oral health. 50% of UK adults have ‘dentaphobia’ with around a quarter of those demonstrating acute anxiety – not a nice place to be.

We are not saying that CBD cookies are a substitute for regular teeth cleaning and hygiene, but even though there is a sugar content, our CBD Cookies have positive benefits as well. However, it is still wise to limit sugar intake for overall bodily health. The good news is that our cookies are so appealing that you’ll quickly break your craving for any other kind of sweet baked goods.

If you’re interested in learning more about our CBD cookies, don’t hesitate to get in touch. We’ll answer any questions you may have, ensuring that you find the perfect product for your palate and requirements.

Cost saving

Due to the ever increasing cost of living, people are often attracted to products or services that offer big savings and subscription services offer these in abundance. This is thanks to regular, guaranteed orders which allows companies to bulk buy products and pass the savings on to you.

This could be anything from a percentage off the regular price of your favourite flavour to extra products included in your delivery at no extra cost each month.

Coffee will always taste good, but even more so at a discounted rate. There’s no better sweetener than savings…

Time saving

Time is always a precious commodity and even more so in today’s fast paced society.

Any hour, minute or even second that can be saved nowadays is precious. We are always on the lookout for the quickest way to get the things we want.

Whether that is shopping online so we don’t have to leave the house, or using the self service checkout at a supermarket so you don’t have to wait as long to pay for your goods.

Food and drink subscriptions are still a bit different from the norm, but are slowly on the rise to match their competitors in the markets. So while it’s still a bit of a niche market, you can stand out from the norm with your CBD coffee subscription box. Certainly one to rub in your friends’ face! Or you could be mature and buy them one too ;).

The Best CBD Infused Products On The Market

calm recovery logo

As CBD infused products become more and more popular every year it allows for more interesting products to be brought to market. CBD products have only really started getting popular in the last few years, and so there is nigh on unlimited room for the products to grow within the current market.

The fact that the market is expanding exponentially, alongside product ranges, the CBD sector has become something of a double edged sword. On one hand, the opportunity is growing so businesses can jump on the growing trend of CBD-infused products and make a business work. On the other hand, the competition grows and businesses have to compete for customers which can lead to some businesses going bust.

We like to look at the latter as a positive because businesses will have to create higher quality products at a fait price to stay competitive, which is exactly what we do.

Now that we know there is a vast expanding product range of CBD infused products out there we need to have a look in detail what they are about. In this blog post we would like to take you through which CBD products we think are the best the market.

women smiling and happy

Skincare

The skincare and beauty market is one of the biggest markets in the world with figures set to soar to $24 billion in the UK alone by 2024. Looking at these types of numbers, it’s no surprise that this industry has infiltrated the CBD monolith.

But why would a skincare company bring out a CBD-infused product?

Well apart from the obvious rise in popularity as we discussed earlier, CBD has proven skincare qualities which make it a perfect fit for the industry. The two most common problems that the skincare industry aims to tackle are ageing and acne. Well to no surprise (to us anyway) the CBD train keeps on chugging – it helps tackle both of these issues!

Studies have shown CBD to reduce the signs of acne. This is because acne is an inflammatory condition and CBD has anti-inflammatory qualities. Simple really. In terms of anti-ageing, CBD is known to be rich in anti-oxidants which help lessen the signs of ageing in the skin. We predict that CBD infused skincare products are going to be one of the leading markets within the CBD niche.

fresh baked chocolate cookies

Edibles

Okay so you have heard of edibles before, right?

Maybe you have associated them with something that will get you high because you think it contains marijuana. Well this isn’t the case for CBD edibles as there is no THC in CBD. Unlike THC, CBD is non-psycho active and is very much legal, making it safe for consumption.

There are a wide variety of CBD edibles available on the market and can be purchased online or in stores, these include:

  • Cookies – Soon to be added to our website, available in three different flavours; salted caramel, triple chocolate and white chocolate & raspberry.
  • Gummies – These can come in the shape of bears, fruits, rings, basically anything you can think of. They’re just like any regular gummies on the market.
  • Protein bars – Very useful for when you train in the gym and want that protein and CBD hit.
  • Dried fruit – A product that is becoming more popular with lots of different options to try out.

Edibles can provide longer lasting effects in comparison to other CBD products as they are broken down slowly in the digestive system. They are also easy to create yourself at home if you want to try it yourself and save money.

mug filled with coffee on a table

CBD drinks

CBD drinks are becoming increasingly popular as different brands start to create their own CBD-infused drinks. Doing this has allowed for the CBD drinks market to develop and become very competitive with a lot of new companies sprouting up.

CBD oil works well with drinks that are foamy such as fizzy drinks or beer, whereas CBD tinctures work better with non fizzy drinks such as cocktails and juice. In reality though both of them can work with beverages either way.  Other CBD beverages include:

  • Teas
  • Wines
  • Energy drinks
  • Water
  • Coconut water
  • Kombucha

Of course we wouldn’t do a blog post of the best CBD products on the market without mentioning CBD coffee, and that’s not only because we sell it, but because we genuinely think it is an awesome CBD product.

Our coffee comes infused with CBD or you can buy our CBD coffee syrup and use that to get your daily dose of CBD with your daily cup of Joe. We also have a Vegan hot chocolate range which could be used as an alternative for any of you out there who aren’t huge coffee lovers.

Can CBD make you happier?

smiley yellow badge on wood background

Lets find out…

CBD is the new health poster child. Except this is one that’s here to stay. CBD has seen a massive surge in the market recently with its value expected to reach £1 billion by 2025.

But why is this?

It has been proven to not only benefit a healthy lifestyle and contribute to overall wellbeing in a plethora of ways, but a large number of people have reported feeling lighter, happier and more open to the joys of day to day life – all thanks to CBD.

These amazing benefits have been linked to the effect that CBD has on serotonin receptors.

Studies have shown that, with consistent daily use, individuals have been able to effectively manage stress levels and sleep better – two of the main catalysts of steady mental wellbeing.

Pain-relief and anti-inflammatory properties are just a few of the other miracles that CBD is capable of too. It’s no mystery that combatting these problems helps us to feel more content, sprightly and happier in general.

According to research undertaken in 2014, CBD can also be used as an alternative treatment for depression. An important factor in managing depression is to maintain healthy serotonin levels. Healthy serotonin can impact a number of functions in the body as well as inducing feelings of happiness and well-being when at normal levels.

While managing mood is something that we all know we should be doing, often it seems to have dropped to the bottom of our list.

Let’s get stuck into some ways that CBD can reverse that.

CBD and a Calmer Mind

Day to day life is filled with stresses, woes and dramas. We all have them, don’t worry.

Managing mental health should be one of our top priorities but sometimes we get too bogged down with the more practical and sometimes boring things in life. So why not try something that we can incorporate into our daily routines and habits?

It really is as simple as that.

CBD and a Healthy Lifestyle

CBD is the perfect companion for healthy lifestyle changes such as getting enough rest, exercise and mental stimulation. We can all make our lives change for the better.

Nowadays it’s not uncommon for CBD to be used in all manner of ways, even massage therapies! And with a wide range of CBD infused beverages and edibles becoming readily available, it has become even easier to make small changes every day for the betterment of our health.

CBD has been found to improve overall mood and many people are using it as a natural alternative to over-prescribed anti-depressants, which are often full to brim with chemicals we can’t even pronounce. Not to mention their appalling relapse rates, side effects and costs to the patient.

Statistics have shown that individuals supplementing with CBD daily have reported an elevated feeling in mood, a greater ability to manage stress and an increased quality of sleep.

There are also a number of articles and journals that advocate the use of CBD in order to increase libido and self-esteem. It has been proven that having a healthy sex-life and higher self-esteem can boost morale, productivity, benefit concentration and overall enjoyment of life.

There’s not many better ways to put a smile on your face than that!

So if you are feeling a bit down in the dumps and you think you’ve tried everything, maybe it’s time to reach for a more natural supplement to give you that uplifting feeling you have been longing for.

Women holding mug filled with coffee

How can you get a bit more CBD in your life?

With a wide range of CBD beverages such as coffee and hot chocolate alongside an array of tasty edibles to suit your needs, the list is infinite when it comes to getting some CBD in your life.

Whether you’re a coffee kind of guy or a chocolate kind of girl, there’s something for everyone. In our modern era, you don’t need to do the guesswork, it’s already done for you.

Whatever tickles your fancy, it’s probably available. From gluten free CBD edibles to caffeine or de-caffeinated CBD coffee, the choice yours.

While habits are often harder to break, we can just try baby steps. Small changes are all we need to make big progress. Some people think we need to change everything about our lifestyles in order to reap the best benefits but that’s just not true.

While having healthy habits can be great for us, it could just be easier to simply substitute one thing for another. Try changing your cup of Joe in the morning for one that contains CBD and go from there.

Easy.

Is CBD coffee more effective than CBD oil?

Cannabis leaf and cbd oil tincture

CBD is everywhere now. From what was once a very hush-hush product in the wings of the health world, it has blossomed into a major player, promising everything from anxiety-relief to improved athletic performance and libido.

In fact, it’s come so far that companies are infusing CBD in all manner of products. And here at the Calm Recovery, we are no different, having infused – you guessed it – coffee beans with CBD! But are these infusions better than the original?

That’s right, we’re talking CBD oil. The poster child for hemp.

Shall we see?

Let’s define effective

So when we’re talking about which is more effective between CBD coffee and CBD oil, what exactly do we mean?

We could define effective in all sorts of ways but for the sake of this article, let’s go ahead and say effective is how efficiently the product delivers CBD’s associated health benefits and whether or not the user experiences more or less of these benefits as a direct result of the way they are taking in their CBD.

Simple enough?

cannabis plant

The key difference between CBD coffee & CBD oil

The main difference between the CBD in coffee and its oily counterpart is the type of CBD used. This is where all of the other differences between the two stem from.

We can only speak for ourselves, so that’s what we’ll do.

Our CBD coffee contains water soluble CBD as opposed to the thicker oil that is used in what most people would call ‘conventional CBD’. The main benefit of water soluble CBD is that it passes into the bloodstream quicker than the oil, meaning you’ll receive a much more immediate benefit than if you were to drop some oil underneath your tongue.

When pairing this with coffee, it can be extremely effective for people who love to work out or who really need an extra jolt in the morning. Because of CBD’s anti-inflammatory properties and the stimulating effect of coffee beans (especially our organic, ethically sourced ones!), using these in conjunction can be the perfect pick me up for people who want benefits on the fly.

Compare that to your bog standard oil and you can see where the differences in effectiveness begin to arise.

Now we’re not saying that CBD oil is the Devil here, let’s just be clear on that. It has been proven time and time again to be effective and has so many applications for pretty much everyone in the world.

But that’s all relative. In the same way a Ford is a great car, when compared to a Ferrari, one is probably going to be a bit more effective at getting you from 0-60…

Ferrari car grill

Which should you go for?

Now that’s the big question.

Listen, whether you choose to go with CBD coffee or CBD oil, you’re still going to get some amazing benefits, so don’t think this decision is life and death.

But when it comes to effectiveness – the whole point of this article – you’re probably going to want to go with the CBD coffee.

Let’s go over a quick bullet-point list of why the beans beat the oil;

  • It’s more convenient. Using a coffee cup is far easier than carrying a giant bottle of oil around all day.
  • It is quicker absorbing thanks to the water soluble CBD. You’ll feel the benefits more readily.
  • It tastes better! Guzzling a cup of Joe is always going to be far more appealing than dropping oil under your tongue and holding it there for 2 minutes. This means you’re far more likely to stick with the habit and feel long term benefits. Effective.
  • There are more potential benefits. Coffee beans themselves are anti-inflammatory, offer a boost in energy and are packed full of antioxidants, meaning you’re actually getting a fuller profile of nutrients than if you were to just consume a pipette of oil. Again, the effectiveness of these combined superfoods outweighs the former CBD poster child!

It’s quite hard to argue against a mountain of evidence like that. As impartial as we’d like to be, the two simply just don’t compare.

And don’t worry if you’re screaming at the computer that you hate coffee!

We have CBD hot chocolate (also available in a vegan recipe), CBD syrups and we’re even coming out with all sorts of CBD edibles in the not-so-distant future. These all contain the water soluble CBD that makes our coffee so effective; no need to worry about sacrificing the health benefits. Winner!

And that is that folks.

You’ve been armed with the knowledge to take the next step on your CBD journey.

It’s quite the no-brainer (in our humble opinion), so if you want to get involved with CBD coffee, a hot chocolate or even our new edibles range – head over to the Calm Recovery website and get yourself some cracking CBD deals.

Do CBD Edibles Taste Bad?

Everything you need to know about edible CBD products

When you hear CBD your mind probably goes straight to oils and whilst CBD oil is definitely one of the most common ways to incorporate CBD into your lifestyle, it’s certainly not the only one. Coffee and edibles are 2 great alternatives to oil for those who want to reap some of the many benefits of CBD.

What are CBD edibles and what do they taste like?

CBD edibles are becoming more and more popular as people search for the right CBD product for them. After all, who can resist a cookie or sweet? CBD edibles come in various forms meaning you’re bound to find the perfect one for you. Options such as cakes and muffins are perfect for a post-dinner treat meanwhile biscuits and cookies are the ideal afternoon snack. CBD sweets and gummies are great options if you’re on the go but still keen to incorporate CBD into your daily life meaning there’s no excuse, no matter how busy you are.

Sweet CBD treats are the perfect way of adding CBD into your routine without having to adjust your taste-buds to the slightly ‘grassy’ taste of CBD oil. Many people say CBD can taste a little like grass or earth, which is probably not your flavour of choice when it comes to an afternoon snack. While some people actively like the taste or can at least adjust to it, others who are keen to use CBD prefer to find an option that helps to mask the taste. And that’s where edibles come in. Edibles offer all the good stuff of CBD oil but in a way that’s easier to digest.

Benefits of CBD edibles

Some of the benefits of CBD include pain relief, mood improvement and better sleep so it’s no surprise that people are keen to try CBD for themselves. For many people though, the thought of using a CBD oil every day can be a little daunting which is why edibles are a great option, especially for those just starting out on their CBD journey. Edibles are a great way of adding CBD into a busy lifestyle. If you’re already snacking throughout the day then switching one of them up for a CBD alternative will make little impact to your waistline and pocket but could have major impacts on everything from your mood to your sleep pattern.

Normally, edible CBD products can take a little longer to fully ‘kick in’ meaning it may take longer for you to see an effect than if you were using an oil. However, at Calm Recovery, we use water soluble CBD in our edibles. This means that the CBD is absorbed much quicker than conventional oils.

This is all thanks to the CBD we use being ground to the size of nano particles, making it much easier for your body to handle and increasing your chances of absorbing 100% of it.

Not to mention, our water soluble CBD is completely tasteless unlike other forms of CBD, meaning it has zero impact on the overall taste of the edibles (or our coffee!).

Another perk of choosing CBD edibles is that they’re more discreet than other options such as oil. It’s unlikely that people will give you a second glance if you start digging into a cookie or some sweets on your commute home however if you start dropping CBD oil under your tongue then you might get some funny looks. CBD edibles slot perfectly into everyday life  meaning you won’t need to make any lifestyle changes if you want to start using them.

Where can you get CBD edibles?

Whilst CBD can be woody or nutty and people often have to wash it down with water once they’ve taken it, CBD edibles can be consumed just the same as you would consume their non-CBD counterparts. CBD edibles are also a great option to pair with a CBD coffee or CBD hot chocolate. We’re all partial to a coffee and cake every now and then so why not make your regular treat a little less naughty by swapping to CBD versions? Nothing compliments a biscuit better than a hot drink and you can find our full range of CBD infused hot drinks on the shop section of the site.

We’ll soon be launching a range of CBD edible products including cookies (Calm Cookies), brownies and chocolate meaning you can get your sugar fix as well as your dose of CBD. Our edibles taste exactly how you’d imagine cookies or brownies to taste (great!) but they also come with a stream of CBD benefits making them the perfect choice for an afternoon snack or post-dinner treat.

How do caffeine and CBD work together?

How do caffeine and CBD work together?

If you’ve ever heard of CBD (cannabidiol) then you might be surprised to hear it associated with a stimulant such as caffeine.  This may be due to the fact that caffeine is known to give you a boost in energy, whereas CBD is associated with having a calming and relaxing effect.

Two seemingly opposite substances?

Right. But also wrong…

Let us explain how these two substances work well when fused together.

What is CBD?

CBD is a chemical compound found in the cannabis plant, unlike tetrahydrocannabinol (THC), CBD is non-psychoactive, which means there is no associated ‘high’. CBD simply doesn’t have a strong effect on cognitive brain activity – perfect if you’re looking to actually function post-ingestion!

The cannabis plant has two main species; Hemp and Marijuana – both of which contain CBD. Hemp contains more CBD and considerably lower levels of THC in comparison to Marijuana.

CBD is known to have an array of health benefits and new research is being conducted each day to support these claims. The many benefits of CBD include, a reduction in stress and anxiety, as well as helping with chronic pain.  Some studies have even showed how CBD could be used to help reduce the risk of certain types of cancers.

What is Caffeine?

We’re all clued up on hemp, but what about the chalk to CBD’s proverbial Cheese?

Caffeine is a naturally occurring substance commonly found in tea, coffee and cacao plants with more than 60 plant species known to contain caffeine.

It is also a substance that can be produced synthetically and added to certain foods, drinks and medications. Caffeine is prevalent in coffee and it is the world’s number one choice when seeking that morning wake up call!

Around 80% of the worlds population consume caffeinated drinks on a daily basis. Caffeine works by stimulating the central nervous system causing an increase in mental alertness.

There are many, many studies to show that consuming small doses of caffeine can have advantages such as, enhanced exercise performance and promoting fat loss by speeding up metabolism.

How CBD and Caffeine interact with each other

So CBD and caffeine are miracle workers in their own right. But what happens when you put them together.

Say, in a coffee?

Unlike regular coffee, CBD infused coffee has been shown to give users a boost in mental awareness minus the jittery effect that regular coffee can give. In this article written by Melissa Malamut she describes the feeling as  “Just enough to take the edge off, but not enough to make you feel like you’re under the influence of a drug”.

CBD infused coffee has even been reported to induce high concentration levels and some users claim to develop a more optimistic attitude.

Benefits of taking them in tandem

When taking a break from caffeine, users can suffer from withdrawal symptoms. These symptoms can include ailments such as headaches, fatigue, low energy and poor concentration.  CBD is known to help combat these side effects when deciding to go on a caffeine detox, helping reducing headaches.

Coffee and CBD are both known to boast antioxidant properties too. Antioxidants are a key player in the wellness of your body and play a crucial role as they rid the body of toxins and protect our cells from damage.

Antioxidants neutralise potentially damaging oxidising agents in the bloodstream while improving the health of cells and reducing the risk of developing diseases in the process. There are no limits to how many antioxidants your body needs so the more the better!

CBD can help with muscle recovery after a grueling gym session too. The reason for this is because CBD is proven to have anti-inflammatory properties.

Caffeine can be used as a pre-workout, giving you that boost in energy before a workout, and the anti-inflammatory effects of CBD will help your muscles recover, making them quite the pair for gym goers.

Where to find CBD caffeine products

The CBD infused coffee industry is in its relative infancy and isn’t as well-known as other CBD products.

At Calm Recovery we offer a variety of CBD coffee blends and even have CBD infused Hot chocolate with a Vegan choice also available.  We are the first company in the UK to offer CBD infused coffee syrup with a selection of edibles being added to our product range in the near future!

We have witnessed the benefit of CBD firsthand and we truly believe that CBD infused products can benefit so many lives in a positive way.

The CBD industry is projected to rise to 22 billion dollars by 2022. With more products being infused each year there is no limit to what can be done with our little plant.
