Caffeine Jitters? How CBD Coffee can ease your problems

friends having coffee

It’s common knowledge that excess caffeine can cause anxiety, or as it is more commonly known ‘the jitters’. The more, full blast coffee you drink, the more you will exacerbate your ‘shakes’ and anxiety.

If you love the taste of coffee, and can’t bear the thought of being without it, never fear, help is at hand with Calm Recovery CBD coffee, which contains full spectrum and organic hemp extract, and that really has a smooth and luxurious taste.

At Calm Recovery you can be assured of the freshest coffee on the market. Our coffee beans may be picked and packed overseas, but they are roasted and prepared to ship to you right here in the UK.  We ensure that our beans are sourced from prime bean suppliers such as Brazil and Sumatra, so what ends up in your cup will be the finest. We believe in Fair Trade suppliers, so you will know that producers overseas are getting their correct payment for the goods that they produce.

Why is Calm Recovery better for you?

Caffeine is the unwelcome guest in a good cup of coffee. When standard coffee is consumed over a period, it can increase anxiety and affect your wellbeing. If drunk in excess, it can certainly make you agitated, nervous, anxious and above all change your demeanour.

After copious amounts of testing, the WHO (World Health Organisation) has concluded that CBD in coffee, or other goods, causes no harm to the human body – in fact, the contrary, as it has no psychoactive effects whatsoever. It is important to remember that it contains no THC, the property that causes a ‘high’ in cannabis smokers. In fact, it is completely the opposite – it negates the nasty effects and promotes the beneficial effects such as an aura of calm and relaxation. Surveys report that it also eases aches and pains, and accelerates recovery, even after a hard session in the gym.

There is no need stop there. Try Calm Recovery’s CBD Hot Chocolate – again it’s smooth and velvety with a delicious chocolatey taste. Even better, drink it at bedtime for a wonderful nights’ sleep! All we advise is that you do not exceed 6 cups per day of either, you may be so relaxed at work (which is where people do not realise just how many coffees they have in one day) that you may fall asleep!

How does Calm Recovery sell their CBD Drinks?

Customers can buy individual packages of CBD ground coffee, but there has been a large increase for us in sales to coffee shops, gyms and other outlets who have realised that CBD coffee and chocolate is here to stay. Coffee shops are springing up all over the country due to the popularity of our products, so supply and demand is increasing daily. Remember, it is totally legal and above all, more beneficial than standard coffee. Even the large coffee manufacturers are seriously considering jumping on the CBD wagon to increase their sales.

If you are an outlet such as a coffee shop or gym, consider buying CBD Coffee Wholesale in the UK, direct from us. We provide varying tastes from CBD Coffee Light and Bright, to CBD Coffee Dark Knight – not forgetting our tasty hot chocolate.

All forms of CBD coffee grind can be supplied by us to suit whatever method you use to make your drink, whether Cafetiere, Cold Brew, Aeropress, Stove Top, Espresso or Drip (V6). Calm Recovery also provide different pack sizes and varying content of CBD in each product. It’s the best of all worlds to be able to choose what you want, when you want.

At Calm Recovery, we don’t make medical claims, we just supply the facts and the feedback from our customers. In this hamster wheel of a life that we all lead, CBD Coffee can be an easy solution to reduces those nerves and anxiety and stopping ‘the jitters’.

Make your CBD Coffee economical every day

Obviously, the cost of CBD coffee will be more expensive on the High Street in your local coffee shop outlet. If you buy for your home, think about buying yourself an insulated coffee cup. You can brew up your own coffee in the morning to have with breakfast, and then take one to work with you. Most insulated cups/flasks stay hot for around 12 hours, so you will still have the perfect coffee for that mid-morning break.

Is CBD coffee more effective than CBD oil?

Cannabis leaf and cbd oil tincture

CBD is everywhere now. From what was once a very hush-hush product in the wings of the health world, it has blossomed into a major player, promising everything from anxiety-relief to improved athletic performance and libido.

In fact, it’s come so far that companies are infusing CBD in all manner of products. And here at the Calm Recovery, we are no different, having infused – you guessed it – coffee beans with CBD! But are these infusions better than the original?

That’s right, we’re talking CBD oil. The poster child for hemp.

Shall we see?

Let’s define effective

So when we’re talking about which is more effective between CBD coffee and CBD oil, what exactly do we mean?

We could define effective in all sorts of ways but for the sake of this article, let’s go ahead and say effective is how efficiently the product delivers CBD’s associated health benefits and whether or not the user experiences more or less of these benefits as a direct result of the way they are taking in their CBD.

Simple enough?

The key difference between CBD coffee & CBD oil

The main difference between the CBD in coffee and its oily counterpart is the type of CBD used. This is where all of the other differences between the two stem from.

We can only speak for ourselves, so that’s what we’ll do.

Our CBD coffee contains water soluble CBD as opposed to the thicker oil that is used in what most people would call ‘conventional CBD’. The main benefit of water soluble CBD is that it passes into the bloodstream quicker than the oil, meaning you’ll receive a much more immediate benefit than if you were to drop some oil underneath your tongue.

When pairing this with coffee, it can be extremely effective for people who love to work out or who really need an extra jolt in the morning. Because of CBD’s anti-inflammatory properties and the stimulating effect of coffee beans (especially our organic, ethically sourced ones!), using these in conjunction can be the perfect pick me up for people who want benefits on the fly.

Compare that to your bog standard oil and you can see where the differences in effectiveness begin to arise.

Now we’re not saying that CBD oil is the Devil here, let’s just be clear on that. It has been proven time and time again to be effective and has so many applications for pretty much everyone in the world.

But that’s all relative. In the same way a Ford is a great car, when compared to a Ferrari, one is probably going to be a bit more effective at getting you from 0-60…

Which should you go for?

Now that’s the big question.

Listen, whether you choose to go with CBD coffee or CBD oil, you’re still going to get some amazing benefits, so don’t think this decision is life and death.

But when it comes to effectiveness – the whole point of this article – you’re probably going to want to go with the CBD coffee.

Let’s go over a quick bullet-point list of why the beans beat the oil;

  • It’s more convenient. Using a coffee cup is far easier than carrying a giant bottle of oil around all day.
  • It is quicker absorbing thanks to the water soluble CBD. You’ll feel the benefits more readily.
  • It tastes better! Guzzling a cup of Joe is always going to be far more appealing than dropping oil under your tongue and holding it there for 2 minutes. This means you’re far more likely to stick with the habit and feel long term benefits. Effective.
  • There are more potential benefits. Coffee beans themselves are anti-inflammatory, offer a boost in energy and are packed full of antioxidants, meaning you’re actually getting a fuller profile of nutrients than if you were to just consume a pipette of oil. Again, the effectiveness of these combined superfoods outweighs the former CBD poster child!

It’s quite hard to argue against a mountain of evidence like that. As impartial as we’d like to be, the two simply just don’t compare.

And don’t worry if you’re screaming at the computer that you hate coffee!

We have CBD hot chocolate (also available in a vegan recipe), CBD syrups and we’re even coming out with all sorts of CBD edibles in the not-so-distant future. These all contain the water soluble CBD that makes our coffee so effective; no need to worry about sacrificing the health benefits. Winner!

And that is that folks.

You’ve been armed with the knowledge to take the next step on your CBD journey.

It’s quite the no-brainer (in our humble opinion), so if you want to get involved with CBD coffee, a hot chocolate or even our new edibles range – head over to the Calm Recovery website and get yourself some cracking CBD deals.

How do caffeine and CBD work together?

How do caffeine and CBD work together?

If you’ve ever heard of CBD (cannabidiol) then you might be surprised to hear it associated with a stimulant such as caffeine.  This may be due to the fact that caffeine is known to give you a boost in energy, whereas CBD is associated with having a calming and relaxing effect.

Two seemingly opposite substances?

Right. But also wrong…

Let us explain how these two substances work well when fused together.

What is CBD?

CBD is a chemical compound found in the cannabis plant, unlike tetrahydrocannabinol (THC), CBD is non-psychoactive, which means there is no associated ‘high’. CBD simply doesn’t have a strong effect on cognitive brain activity – perfect if you’re looking to actually function post-ingestion!

The cannabis plant has two main species; Hemp and Marijuana – both of which contain CBD. Hemp contains more CBD and considerably lower levels of THC in comparison to Marijuana.

CBD is known to have an array of health benefits and new research is being conducted each day to support these claims. The many benefits of CBD include, a reduction in stress and anxiety, as well as helping with chronic pain.  Some studies have even showed how CBD could be used to help reduce the risk of certain types of cancers.

What is Caffeine?

We’re all clued up on hemp, but what about the chalk to CBD’s proverbial Cheese?

Caffeine is a naturally occurring substance commonly found in tea, coffee and cacao plants with more than 60 plant species known to contain caffeine.

It is also a substance that can be produced synthetically and added to certain foods, drinks and medications. Caffeine is prevalent in coffee and it is the world’s number one choice when seeking that morning wake up call!

Around 80% of the worlds population consume caffeinated drinks on a daily basis. Caffeine works by stimulating the central nervous system causing an increase in mental alertness.

There are many, many studies to show that consuming small doses of caffeine can have advantages such as, enhanced exercise performance and promoting fat loss by speeding up metabolism.

How CBD and Caffeine interact with each other

So CBD and caffeine are miracle workers in their own right. But what happens when you put them together.

Say, in a coffee?

Unlike regular coffee, CBD infused coffee has been shown to give users a boost in mental awareness minus the jittery effect that regular coffee can give. In this article written by Melissa Malamut she describes the feeling as  “Just enough to take the edge off, but not enough to make you feel like you’re under the influence of a drug”.

CBD infused coffee has even been reported to induce high concentration levels and some users claim to develop a more optimistic attitude.

Sounds good to us!

Benefits of taking them in tandem

When taking a break from caffeine, users can suffer from withdrawal symptoms. These symptoms can include ailments such as headaches, fatigue, low energy and poor concentration.  CBD is known to help combat these side effects when deciding to go on a caffeine detox, helping reducing headaches.

Coffee and CBD are both known to boast antioxidant properties too. Antioxidants are a key player in the wellness of your body and play a crucial role as they rid the body of toxins and protect our cells from damage.

Antioxidants neutralise potentially damaging oxidising agents in the bloodstream while improving the health of cells and reducing the risk of developing diseases in the process. There are no limits to how many antioxidants your body needs so the more the better!

CBD can help with muscle recovery after a grueling gym session too. The reason for this is because CBD is proven to have anti-inflammatory properties.

Caffeine can be used as a pre-workout, giving you that boost in energy before a workout, and the anti-inflammatory effects of CBD will help your muscles recover, making them quite the pair for gym goers.

Where to find CBD caffeine products

The CBD infused coffee industry is in its relative infancy and isn’t as well-known as other CBD products.

At Calm Recovery we offer a variety of CBD coffee blends and even have CBD infused Hot chocolate with a Vegan choice also available.  We are the first company in the UK to offer CBD infused coffee syrup with a selection of edibles being added to our product range in the near future!

We have witnessed the benefit of CBD firsthand and we truly believe that CBD infused products can benefit so many lives in a positive way.

The CBD industry is projected to rise to 22 billion dollars by 2022. With more products being infused each year there is no limit to what can be done with our little plant.
